Base Salary

Responsibilities

  • Guide and assist others with designs, peer consensus, and adoption of site reliability engineering practices.
  • Design, develop, test, and implement deployment and reliability approaches using automated continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate incident triage, troubleshooting, post-incident analysis, and identification of recurring reliability risks or toil.
  • Implement infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for assigned applications and platforms.
  • Define and track service level indicators and objectives, resolve complex problems, and proactively address reliability issues before customer impact.
  • Improve application and platform availability, reliability, scalability, and operational outcomes iteratively with technical partners.
  • Recognize roadblocks, explore appropriate technologies, and identify improvements that solve business problems.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in site reliability engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
  • Experience supporting SRE practices for data management or migration platforms and familiarity with on-premises and public cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, networks, and databases.
  • Understanding of monitoring, incident response, capacity awareness, toil identification, and defining and tracking relevant SLOs and SLIs.
  • Proficiency in site reliability culture and principles and familiarity with implementing SRE within an application or platform.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language or configuration/resource management tool, such as Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
  • Experience with observability, white-box and black-box monitoring, SLO alerting, and telemetry collection using tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, or Splunk.
  • Experience with public, private, or hybrid cloud-hosted platforms and applications, including Kubernetes, ECS, and Docker.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Terraform.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting common networking technologies and issues and with container orchestration troubleshooting.
  • Experience with general-purpose programming languages or automation scripting is preferred.
  • Public cloud experience and AWS certification are preferred.
  • Experience in banking and payment domains is preferred, including areas such as FX cross currency, high- and low-value payments, SWIFT, real-time payments, collections, check clearing, tax payments, or partner bank systems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups across geographies, multitask, handle complex requirements, and adapt is preferred.
  • AWS Certified Developer certification is preferred.
