Base Salary
$192k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, improve, and maintain Brex’s data platform and infrastructure across warehousing, analytics, streaming, replication, materialization, orchestration, observability, access, and governance.
- Partner with product, data science, and analytics teams to launch data-backed products.
- Improve data competency across Brex through partnership and education.
- Build resilient data architectures, participate in on-call rotations, and continuously improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in a data infrastructure or data platform role.
- Experience with one or more of Snowflake, Flink, Airflow, dbt, or CDC.
- Fluency in Kotlin or Kotlin-like development languages such as Python.
- Experience building and maintaining a large-scale modern data stack.
- Experience with streaming infrastructure such as Kafka.
- Experience in backend engineering or full-stack development.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including cross-functional relationship building.
- Bonus: experience collaborating with product teams, building full-stack data-backed products, or contributing to data architecture and strategy.
- Must be willing to work in the office three days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
