Base Salary
$179k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop cloud-based solutions using full-stack technologies, open-source frameworks, databases, containers, and AWS services.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams, including engineering standards, design patterns, operational excellence, and mentoring.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify and implement refactoring and performance improvements to reduce technical debt and optimize distributed systems.
- Influence long-term technology strategy by evaluating emerging tools and practices in a you-build-it-you-own-it environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience, excluding internships.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master’s degree, 7+ years coding with multiple listed languages, and experience with databases, cloud platforms, open-source frameworks, front-end frameworks, APIs, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, AI coding tools, observability, mentoring, and large-scale technical initiatives.
- Preferred: experience establishing coding standards and design patterns across teams.
