Base Salary
$168k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and build AI-powered security applications and LLM-based tooling for code scanning, severity assessment, and remediation.
- Transform manual security processes into high-volume, machine-speed pipelines while maintaining quality metrics.
- Build proactive automation that identifies and remediates security issues in code, threat models, and content.
- Own SLAs, monitoring, alerting, runbooks, incident response, and on-call support for owned services.
- Produce technical design documents, perform trade-off analysis, and drive alignment across organizations.
- Mentor security engineers, conduct code and design reviews, and raise engineering standards.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and contribute features or fixes upstream to open source projects.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture for new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
- Knowledge of machine learning and LLM fundamentals, including transformer architecture, training and inference lifecycles, and optimization techniques.
- Experience contributing to open source projects through activities such as pull requests, code reviews, and issue filing or triage.
- Preferred: 5+ years covering the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: experience deploying LLMs in production on GPUs, Neuron, TPU, or other AI acceleration hardware.
- Preferred: experience maintaining or co-maintaining an open source repository, including issue handling, release management, and community moderation.
- Preferred: experience with open source security practices such as vulnerability disclosure, dependency auditing, or AI-assisted vulnerability analysis and remediation.
