Responsibilities
- Design and develop software solutions for GMS applications, including functionality, performance, and integration enhancements.
- Configure applications with customer experts to meet customer requirements.
- Develop workflow integrations between SCADA/EMS/GMS systems and other IT/OT systems.
- Create and execute test plans and procedures with customers to verify contractual requirements.
- Train customers on operating GMS functions within the system.
- Coordinate with technical teams to resolve customer-reported technical problems.
- Provide expert support to proposal and tendering teams.
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in power system electrical engineering, computer science, or a related engineering field.
- 4–10 years of experience in software development, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency or experience with C, C++, and/or FORTRAN.
- Strong knowledge of power-system modeling and simulation, analysis and operation, optimization, and numerical analysis methodologies.
- Experience with GMS applications such as Generation Control, Network Analysis, and Operator Training Simulator is desirable.
- Familiarity with Load Flow, Contingency Analysis, State Estimation, AGC, Economic Dispatch, and power-system simulators is desirable.
- Experience with numerical analysis methods, optimization techniques, model prototyping, optimization toolkits, or machine-learning/AI packages is a plus.
- Experience working in Agile development environments, including backlog management, sprint planning, and iterative delivery.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively and interact effectively with team members, product management, project teams, sales, customers, management, and other stakeholders.
- Good oral and written communication and presentation skills.
