Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design specifications and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Review requirements, analysis, and design documents and provide feedback.
- Implement, test, maintain, and support software based on technical specifications.
- Lead architecture, design, and implementation of robust, scalable web services.
- Improve system quality, identify common patterns, and develop standard operating procedures.
- Enhance and maintain existing applications and codebases.
- Conduct peer reviews, architecture reviews, and code reviews.
- Collaborate with colleagues, product stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to implement technical designs.
- Investigate and adopt relevant new technologies.
- Assist customer support with technical problems and questions.
- Lead or participate in projects and mentor less experienced developers.
- Drive cloud, DevOps, or AI modernization initiatives and connect AI innovation to business and productivity outcomes.
Requirements
- At least 15 years of experience in Java full-stack development.
- At least 15 years of experience is required overall, including extensive experience developing systems or software for large business environments.
- Minimum 12 years of experience with Java Enterprise Edition.
- At least 10 years of experience developing mission-critical and low-latency solutions for large business environments.
- At least 5 years of experience developing and debugging distributed systems and working with big data systems in the cloud.
- Strong object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture experience, preferably using Java.
- Strong experience leading architecture, design, and implementation of robust and highly scalable web services.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, CI/CD and DevOps technologies, and extensive debugging.
- Understanding of unit testing, test-driven development, functional testing, and performance testing.
- Experience with React, Pulsar, and Snowflake is preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems, data architecture, software security practices, and shell scripting.
- Understanding of big data, machine learning, LLMs, automation, and engineering toolchains.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master's degree is a plus.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, presentation, facilitation, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
