Base Salary
$80k - $128k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead front-end UI updates displaying species data, habitat designations, listing status, and regulatory requirements.
- Design and implement geographic query interfaces for marine and coastal query types.
- Develop and integrate authorized APIs between the front end and cloud data layer.
- Ensure UI changes meet Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 Level AA standards and coordinate accessibility testing with QA Engineers.
- Produce VPAT Version 2.4 Rev 508 Accessibility Conformance Reports for UI updates.
- Update the consultation package builder to support new content and joint-agency consultation packages.
- Deliver front-end components, geographic query updates, consultation enhancements, and VPAT documentation for government review.
- Support demo environment setup and implement UI updates based on production consultation feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience, or a Master’s degree and 3 years, Associate’s degree and 7 years, or high school diploma and 9 years of experience.
- At least 5 years of web development experience focused on federal application front ends.
- Proficiency with React, Angular, or an equivalent modern JavaScript framework.
- Proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3 for accessible, standards-compliant web applications.
- Deep expertise in Section 508, WCAG 2.0 Level AA, and DHS Trusted Tester Methodology.
- Experience producing VPAT 2.4 Rev 508 Accessibility Conformance Reports.
- Experience developing and integrating APIs in federal web applications.
- Experience with Git or an equivalent version-control platform.
- Familiarity with federal web development standards and FedRAMP-compliant deployment.
- U.S. citizenship, ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance, and ability to work within the United States.
- Preferred qualifications include DHS Certified Trusted Tester certification, geographic query or GIS web integration experience, federal environmental or consultation-system experience, and Agile web development experience.
