Responsibilities
- Architect and develop web and mobile applications for Alpaca’s trading products.
- Create responsive, performant, intuitive, accessible, and polished user interfaces.
- Develop frontend trading dashboards and backend systems supporting Trading API features.
- Own high-visibility features and projects from design through deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, users, and internal stakeholders on end-to-end solutions.
- Mentor peers and influence frontend technical strategy and best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of frontend development experience with TypeScript and React.
- 3+ years of mobile application development experience for Android and iOS.
- 2+ years of experience with a modern systems programming language such as Golang, C++, or Rust.
- Proficiency in HTML and CSS frameworks such as TailwindCSS.
- Experience with REST APIs, WebSockets, relational databases, and SQL.
- Ability to translate product designs and mockups into complete user interfaces.
- Track record of setting or influencing frontend best practices.
- Strong communication, collaboration, attention to detail, and appreciation for design aesthetics.
- Preferred: professional or personal algorithmic trading experience, financial markets knowledge, major cloud platform experience, startup experience, or remote-work experience.
