Base Salary
$124k - $329k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and ship scalable technical solutions across multiple GitHub services.
- Build and integrate AI agents and AI-first features for code analysis and security issue remediation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, pairing, and code reviews.
- Own the health, quality, reliability, and operational support of team systems, including on-call and first-responder rotations.
- Write architecture proposals, conduct experiments, and build prototypes for planetary-scale systems.
- Design and implement GraphQL APIs and REST endpoints.
- Maintain and extend Ruby on Rails applications and Go services.
- Improve service reliability through instrumentation, monitoring, telemetry, and SLO management.
- Lead technical solution discussions, identify dependencies, and contribute to architecture decisions.
- Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and postmortems.
- Use CI/CD tools to establish automated integration and delivery pipelines.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline with production software delivery experience; equivalent experience is also accepted.
- Alternatively, an associate degree plus 5+ years, a bachelor’s degree plus 4+ years, or a master’s degree plus 2+ years in a relevant technical discipline; a doctorate in a relevant field is also accepted.
- Proven production coding experience in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python.
- Preferred: 2+ years building end-to-end applications with agentic AI.
- Preferred: 2+ years building web applications in Ruby or Go.
- Preferred: 2+ years developing with relational databases.
- Preferred: 2+ years developing large Ruby on Rails or React applications.
- Preferred: 2+ years of distributed systems experience and operating software at scale.
- Candidates based on the East Coast are preferred.
