Responsibilities
- Independently identify and deliver software solutions through milestones spanning a product focus or multi-component system.
- Write code alongside junior engineers while providing hands-on technical leadership and leading by example.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and analysts to understand user needs and develop user-focused products.
- Develop and execute short- and long-term roadmaps balancing business impact, user experience, and technical excellence.
- Mentor teammates, participate in interviews, and contribute to team and company initiatives.
- Build relationships with other engineering teams and cross-functional partners.
- Participate in occasional on-call work to address bugs, outages, and operational issues.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering or related industry experience.
- BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding, such as physics or mathematics, or equivalent technical experience.
- Proven ability to identify and deliver software solutions across product-focused or multi-component systems.
- Experience developing and shipping large-scale web applications with a user-centric mindset.
- Proficiency building user-facing software and supporting systems and libraries for web and/or desktop platforms.
- Preferred: contributions to open source projects or technical communities.
- Preferred: full-stack development experience.
- Preferred technologies: MySQL, Python, Go, Java, and Rust.
