Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and support scalable enterprise applications.
- Build backend services, microservices, and REST APIs using Java 17+ and Spring Boot/Spring Framework.
- Design distributed and event-driven applications and integrate systems with databases, messaging platforms, REST APIs, and enterprise systems.
- Design database solutions, data models, queries, data-access layers, and performance optimizations.
- Develop and deploy cloud-native applications and services.
- Apply object-oriented design, design patterns, automated testing, secure development, and other software engineering practices.
- Contribute to deployment automation, logging, monitoring, observability, troubleshooting, code reviews, and production support.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, product, and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- 6–9 years of professional software development experience, including significant hands-on backend development with Java.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot/Spring Framework.
- Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Experience with Hibernate/JPA or comparable persistence frameworks.
- Strong experience with relational databases and SQL, including database design, complex queries, and performance optimization.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, design patterns, scalability, resiliency, security, monitoring, and production support.
- Experience with unit and integration testing using frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
- Experience with Git, cloud environments, and modern software engineering practices.
- Preferred: a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: experience with Google Cloud Platform, Kafka, Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Docker, Kubernetes, GKE, NoSQL databases, observability, application performance management, and DevOps practices.
- Preferred: working knowledge of React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and integrating frontend applications with REST APIs.
