Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize Snowflake, MicroStrategy SaaS, Qlik, Looker, and Semarchy BI and analytics platforms.
- Lead platform upgrades, patches, migrations, user access management, security settings, and system integrations.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, alarms, and dashboards using Datadog and CloudWatch.
- Troubleshoot performance and stability issues across applications and data connections.
- Lead high-severity incident response, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective and preventative actions.
- Develop Terraform and Python-based automation and scripts for platform administration and monitoring.
- Optimize BI platform usage for cost efficiency, performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute documentation, training, runbooks, and best practices.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in BI or analytics platform support or infrastructure engineering, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
- Hands-on experience administering Snowflake, MicroStrategy SaaS, Qlik, Looker, or Semarchy.
- Strong expertise with AWS services including RDS, S3, Lambda, IAM, and VPC.
- Proficiency with observability tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, or Prometheus.
- Experience with high-severity incident response and root cause analysis.
- Experience with Terraform and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred certifications include MicroStrategy Certified System Administrator (Cloud), Qlik Sense System Administrator, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
- Preferred experience includes GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AIOps or automated monitoring, and large-scale enterprise BI environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
