Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, troubleshoot, and maintain secure and scalable software components for payment technology products.
- Write high-quality code using Java or another modern programming language with limited guidance.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI coding and development tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating their outputs.
- Analyze upstream and downstream system impacts and resolve technical problems of basic complexity.
- Gather and analyze large, diverse data sets to identify problems and support secure, stable application development.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools, processes, methodologies, resiliency practices, and security standards.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 2 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on practical experience with Agentic AI, Java, AWS, Spring Boot, and Kafka.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and evaluating AI-generated outputs for quality and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle and exposure to Agile, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Preferred: full-stack Java enterprise application development experience and strong SDLC delivery experience.
- Preferred: at least two years of Java 17+ experience, microservices deployment through AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service or Elastic Container Service, Terraform scripting, AWS production deployment, and experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL.
