Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, enhance, and troubleshoot secure and scalable software components.
- Write high-quality code using at least one programming language with limited guidance.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI coding assistance for code generation, refactoring, testing, and documentation while validating outputs through review and automated testing.
- Analyze upstream and downstream system impacts and resolve technical problems of basic complexity.
- Apply SDLC tools, automation capabilities, secure coding practices, resiliency expectations, and security standards.
- Gather and analyze diverse datasets to identify problems and support secure, stable application development.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least two years of applied experience.
- Hands-on practical experience with Agentic AI, Java, AWS, Spring Boot, and Kafka.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle and exposure to Agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Preferred: full-stack Java enterprise application development experience and strong SDLC delivery experience in Agile environments.
- Preferred: at least two years of experience with Java 17 or later.
- Preferred: experience developing microservices packaged for AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service or Elastic Container Service and deployed to EC2 instances.
- Preferred: experience writing Terraform scripts and deploying in an AWS production environment.
- Preferred: experience with a relational database management system, preferably Oracle or PostgreSQL.
