Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain DRW’s globally deployed low-latency trading platform.
- Work across order routing, market data, and risk systems.
- Develop high-availability C++ systems with tight resource and latency constraints.
- Apply multithreaded programming, hardware/software interaction knowledge, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with research teams and quants when applicable.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience developing high-availability systems in C++ under tight resource and latency constraints.
- Background in multithreaded programming and a strong understanding of hardware/software interaction.
- Experience tuning applications, Linux, and socket I/O and troubleshooting performance issues.
- Experience with C++ libraries including STL and Boost.
- Current knowledge of C++23 standards.
- Experience with challenging projects such as custom compilers, matching engines, or real-time large-scale data processing.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Experience in trading or another ultra-low-latency business, working with research teams and quants, or working in gaming or streaming is preferred.
