- Build data pipelines, analytics, and applications to measure infrastructure usage and performance and support capacity planning and efficiency decisions.
- Develop AI agents that diagnose failed jobs, analyze logs, and handle routine engineering requests.
- Debug job, storage, and license issues with physical design engineers and convert recurring problems into automated checks, self-service tools, and permanent fixes.
- Own software across architecture, data storage, UI, testing, deployment, maintenance, code review, and reproducible builds.
- Collaborate across global Design Automation teams and time zones to roll out infrastructure software and mentor newer team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2–6 years of experience building and running production software, preferably infrastructure, backend services, or developer tools.
- Hands-on experience with AI agents, including agentic workflows, LLM APIs, tool calling, MCP, or AI coding assistants.
- Strong Python skills and solid software engineering fundamentals in design, testing, code review, and debugging.
- Strong Linux skills, including shell scripting and debugging issues across multiple users and hosts.
- Preferred experience with HPC, job schedulers, NFS or parallel file systems, large-scale performance tuning, CI/CD pipelines, containers, Ansible, and monitoring.
- Preferred experience with Bazel, Perforce, Git, SQL, data modeling, dashboards, C++, Tcl, Perl, EDA tools, or chip-design flows.
- Strong data structures and algorithms knowledge, particularly graph theory, is preferred.
