Responsibilities
- Build production-grade bioinformatics workflows that process thousands of samples per day.
- Develop novel algorithms to convert raw sequencing data into accurate insights.
- Integrate cutting-edge tools into real-world bioinformatics pipelines.
- Debug and manage the complexities of real-world sequencing data.
- Translate bioinformatics outputs into user-friendly scientific interfaces.
- Mentor teammates and enhance your skills in a collaborative setting.
Requirements
- PhD in a quantitative field such as Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Statistics, or Physics.
- 3+ years of experience building production bioinformatics pipelines.
- Deep expertise in microbial genomics, variant calling, or RNA-seq.
- Significant experience with Nextflow or Snakemake pipelines and cloud deployments.
- Strong understanding of sequence analysis principles.
- Solid molecular biology foundation with hands-on sequencing experience.
- Proficiency in Python and conda-based package management.
- Experience with Docker, Git, and large-scale genomic data processing.
