Base Salary
$212k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set architectural direction for the compliance control plane.
- Drive complex technical problems end to end.
- Translate regulatory obligations into engineering primitives and roadmaps.
- Anticipate platform risks and lead initiatives to address them.
- Partner with senior leaders to align cross-functional objectives.
- Set standards for production ownership and reliability.
- Mentor engineers and elevate design quality across the team.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building production backend systems.
- Deep expertise in Java or comparable JVM languages, Go, or Rust.
- Proven track record of owning architecture for complex distributed systems.
- Strong design instincts for resilience and distributed systems.
- Excellent API design judgment with REST/gRPC.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity in a regulated environment.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
- Experience in fintech, payments, identity, or compliance technology is a plus.
