Base Salary

$307k - $427k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional leaders and organizations to align on a multi-year roadmap for transforming Cloud Surfaces experiences.
  • Create scalable, reliable, secure, and efficient platform designs supporting web, mobile, SDK, CLI, and AI-powered UI experiences.
  • Accelerate internal platform adoption and SDK and CLI development across Google Cloud product teams.
  • Mentor senior technical leads and raise the organization’s technical bar through peer growth and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Align engineering teams and stakeholders behind shared long-term strategy and near-term execution focused on platform reusability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience as a software engineering leader with full-stack web development experience.
  • Experience developing for web, mobile, and SDK/CLI environments.
  • Preferred: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Preferred: experience leading initiatives, developing policies, and driving thought leadership for internal developer platforms and large-scale systems.
  • Preferred: experience aligning API resource models and data models and reconciling existing systems with new systems.
  • Preferred: experience with inter-team and cross-functional leadership, technical roadmaps, and technical design across broader engineering organizations.
  • Awareness of industry trends in AI and ML technologies and their application at scale.

Benefits

  • US base salary of $307000–$427000, plus a 30% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
