Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction and multi-year roadmap for the Hybrid Cloud Environment platform.
- Define a compiler that translates natural-language intent and decorators such as residency and budget into secure cloud environments, with a federated registry reference implementation.
- Design the control plane with zero-trust identity, short-lived credentials, Sigstore attestations, automated drift pipelines, reaper protocols, and CVE controllers.
- Host autonomous AI agents using strictly bounded, non-amplifiable credentials.
- Lead and mentor senior, staff, and senior staff engineering teams while developing technical leadership.
- Represent engineering standards across Google, arbitrate complex cross-organizational disputes, and drive safe GCP adoption.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience in software engineering focused on large-scale distributed cloud infrastructure, policy engines, or control planes.
- Experience in a technical leadership role leading senior engineering teams and defining multi-year architectural strategies.
- Experience with AI application platforms, prompt engineering systems, or orchestrating agentic workflows is preferred.
- Deep familiarity with developer infrastructure and cloud platform solutions is preferred.
- Exceptional executive communication, cross-organizational influence, and the ability to align executive-level priorities are preferred.
- Track record of designing compilers, policy engines, or domain-specific languages that compile high-level configurations or intents into secure cloud configurations is preferred.
Benefits
- Germany base pay is €232000–€237000 EUR, plus a 30% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
- US base pay is $307000–$427000 USD, plus a 30% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
