Responsibilities
- Partner with product managers, architects, stakeholders, and engineers to define requirements and deliver end-to-end cloud platform solutions.
- Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of large-scale infrastructure automation software.
- Build scalable, reusable, and maintainable software while driving architecture reviews, code reviews, design patterns, and engineering standards.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and techniques to improve productivity, software quality, delivery speed, and engineering workflows.
- Develop comprehensive unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end test automation strategies.
- Improve platform reliability through mocks, fault injection, failure simulation, chaos engineering, and automated validation.
- Build and operate reliable cloud computing solutions across global data centers and server fleets.
- Establish observability, performance, resilience, and operational-excellence practices for rapid incident resolution.
- Solve complex distributed-systems and infrastructure challenges while mentoring engineers and promoting technical excellence.
- Improve development processes, CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and software-quality metrics.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience in Java or a comparable object-oriented language with a bachelor’s degree, 6+ years with a master’s degree, 3+ years with a PhD, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience integrating AI into software development, engineering processes, infrastructure operations, or platform automation.
- Experience developing scalable, resilient systems and using AI/ML insights to improve products, platforms, or operational outcomes.
- Ability to lead technically complex and high-risk projects across distributed teams.
- Strong distributed-systems foundation and experience designing large-scale cloud platforms.
- Experience building scalable products, frameworks, and infrastructure automation solutions.
- Strong software engineering skills in Java, JavaScript, Go, or similar object-oriented languages.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, performance optimization, databases, and large-scale data management.
- Experience designing automated testing frameworks and applying quality-engineering practices.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps methodologies, modern software delivery, failure testing, resiliency validation, fault injection, and production readiness.
- Experience using AI technologies to improve software development, productivity, operational efficiency, decision-making, or problem-solving.
- Experience working in Agile development environments and solving infrastructure or systems-level challenges in private, public, or hybrid clouds.
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes or other container-orchestration platforms, AWS, Azure, GCP, Infrastructure as Code, cloud automation, chaos engineering, resilience testing, observability, and reliability engineering.

- Base pay of $166,500-$291,400 plus equity when applicable, variable or incentive compensation, and benefits.
