Base Salary
$225k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own major customer-facing product experiences from technical design and frontend architecture through implementation, testing, measurement, and iteration.
- Build and evolve the web application using TypeScript, React, Shadcn/MUI, and Node.js.
- Set technical direction for frontend architecture, patterns, and engineering practices.
- Ship secure, well-tested, performant, reliable, and maintainable software through incremental delivery.
- Collaborate with product, design, data, backend, operations, revenue, leadership, and customers to improve product experiences and define roadmap and technical strategy.
- Improve frontend performance, developer experience, observability, testing, and application quality.
- Mentor engineers through pair programming, code reviews, architecture discussions, and hands-on technical leadership.
- Contribute across APIs, data platforms, infrastructure, and the broader system when appropriate.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience building complex software applications, including significant modern web application experience.
- Deep experience with TypeScript and React and strong expertise in maintainable, performant frontend systems.
- Track record of shaping and shipping valuable product features.
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture, state management, API integration, testing, accessibility, performance, and modern web development practices.
- Experience with component libraries or design systems such as Shadcn or MUI.
- Ability to work across the stack and understand interactions among frontend systems, APIs, databases, data pipelines, and infrastructure.
- Experience deploying production applications and services on AWS or GCP.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably Pulumi.
- Familiarity with network security and protecting production applications.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills for communicating with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with data-intensive applications and moving, ingesting, and transforming data at scale is a plus.
- Comfort using modern AI development tools and a commitment to mentoring, documentation, tooling, and engineering best practices.
