Responsibilities
- Build browser-extension capabilities that record user interactions and context for reliable workflow reproduction.
- Develop automation for dynamic pages, nested frames, custom controls, and asynchronous state changes.
- Improve agent page understanding, control identification, action execution, and recovery when interfaces change.
- Create debugging, replay, monitoring, and inspection tools for automation workflows.
- Investigate customer-environment failures across browser behavior, application state, and execution services.
- Turn customer discoveries into reusable recording, targeting, and recovery capabilities.
- Own architecture for browser recording and execution, including recording fidelity, element targeting, and browser state.
- Partner with AI engineers, mentor peers through design reviews and code reviews, and participate in hiring.
Requirements
- Independently owned a significant web capability or system through design, deployment, production failures, and subsequent improvements.
- Strong JavaScript or TypeScript skills and deep understanding of the DOM, browser events, network behavior, and asynchronous execution.
- Experience building browser automation with Playwright or comparable tools.
- Ability to trace difficult failures across browser behavior, frontend state, and backend services.
- Ability to design tests that distinguish reliable behavior from one-time success.
- Willingness to work directly with customers and turn unfamiliar application discoveries into product improvements.
- Helpful experience includes browser extensions, accessibility trees, resilient element targeting, recording and replay systems, LLM-powered applications, computer-use agents, early-stage products, or customer-facing engineering.
