Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of scalable software solutions.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications.
- Write clean, efficient, and documented code using development best practices and architectural patterns.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and support application availability and performance.
- Mentor and guide junior developers.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other agile processes.
- Research and evaluate technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve development processes and product quality.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of software development processes and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and data privacy regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required; a master's degree is preferred.
- At least 7 years of professional software development experience is required.
- Experience with agentic development using Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.
- Proficiency in one or more of C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript, including Node.js or React.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
- Extensive experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and/or NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra.
- Experience with AWS or Azure and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks when applicable.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior team members.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, critical-thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Manufacturing or supply chain industry experience is a plus.
