Base Salary
$157k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build intuitive, responsive, maintainable user interfaces using modern front-end technologies.
- Translate design mockups, user feedback, and system requirements into production-quality user experiences.
- Develop and improve APIs, backend services, and service integrations supporting front-end applications.
- Develop backend functionality using Python, SQL, and containerized architectures.
- Lead critical features across the full software development lifecycle and make sound engineering tradeoffs.
- Write and maintain automated unit, integration, and functional tests.
- Collaborate with QA and other engineering teams to define acceptance criteria, troubleshoot defects, and support release readiness.
- Conduct code reviews and uphold software engineering standards for quality, security, performance, and maintainability.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Develop, test, and deploy software in air-gapped or highly secure government network environments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressively responsible web or software development experience.
- Strong front-end development expertise, including component-based architecture, responsive design, performance, and usability.
- Extensive experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks such as React, Angular, and/or Vue.
- Strong full-stack fundamentals, including Python, API development and integration, application architecture, and service-to-service communication.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Experience designing, consuming, and integrating APIs.
- Understanding of containerized architectures using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience collaborating with QA and writing automated tests against defined requirements.
- Ability to provide technical guidance, own technical problems end-to-end, and work effectively with ambiguity.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with end users and cross-functional teams.
- Experience developing software for air-gapped or highly secure government networks.
- Ability to hold and maintain a U.S. Government TS/SCI clearance.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret and TS/SCI clearance.
- Preferred experience with real-time 2D/3D geospatial visualizations and mission-critical, defense, aerospace, or highly secure software environments.
- An active U.S. Government Secret Clearance is preferred.
