Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly team goals while leading engineers through ambiguous, open-ended problems.
- Collaborate with product management, design, analytics, marketing, data engineering, and platform teams on product decisions and technical trade-offs.
- Build and evolve reliable, performant consumer web systems and their experimentation, tagging, tracking, attribution, and measurement integrations.
- Create and monitor operational metrics, support availability and on-call efforts, and improve system reliability.
- Set and improve code review and design standards, communicate technical practices through writing and talks, and mentor team members.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience developing and architecting web applications with declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue.
- Proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with web instrumentation, Google Tag Manager, analytics and experimentation platforms, conversion tracking, advertising or marketing APIs, and third-party web integrations.
- Experience designing reliable and performant consumer web systems, including understanding consent, cookies, tagging, observability, and data collection.
- Ability to define technical plans for significant features or system components and produce elegant, extensible, high-quality code.
- Experience making significant changes safely in large codebases using appropriate tools and practices.
- Strong ownership, feedback-seeking, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
