Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, deploy, monitor, and support scalable application and platform capabilities.
- Build full-stack product experiences across web applications, backend services, APIs, user interfaces, and platform integrations.
- Develop backend services with C# and .NET and frontend experiences with TypeScript, React, Redux, and Tailwind CSS.
- Modernize applications through refactoring, technical debt reduction, framework upgrades, and migration from legacy patterns.
- Create APIs, integration patterns, reusable components, service boundaries, and application architecture supporting platform interoperability.
- Integrate data-driven, search, agentic, and AI-enabled capabilities into production web applications in collaboration with Data & AI Engineering.
- Contribute to Azure DevOps repositories and pipelines, automated testing, deployment automation, environment management, monitoring, and incident readiness.
- Apply secure, reliable, performant, maintainable, and observable software engineering practices aligned with internal security standards, SOC 2 Type II, and ISO 27001.
- Own features, services, defects, and technical improvements from design through production support and iterative improvement.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, estimation, delivery planning, and implementation decisions.
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, Platform Reliability, Solution Engineering, and regional teams across a globally distributed organization.
- Mentor less experienced engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, pairing, and shared engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience developing production software in application engineering, software engineering, platform engineering, or related technical roles.
- Strong production experience developing web applications and backend services using C# and modern .NET.
- Experience with full-stack technologies, frontend components, APIs, integrations, and application capabilities in production environments.
- Experience designing and consuming APIs and building distributed or service-oriented application capabilities.
- Experience building, modernizing, deploying, or operating scalable web applications in production.
- Strong understanding of software design, testing, code quality, maintainability, security, and performance.
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, source control, code review, and modern software delivery practices.
- Practical Microsoft Azure experience is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools or LLM-enabled coding workflows.
- Ability to collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, Platform Reliability, and cross-functional stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
- Strong English communication skills and ability to work effectively across globally distributed teams.
- Preferred qualifications include product-led or platform-based organization experience, low-code or hybrid development experience, multi-system interoperability, AWS or multi-cloud experience, application modernization, and experience in energy, infrastructure, renewables, assurance, certification, or other technically complex industries.
