Responsibilities
- Define and drive ML strategy across multiple use cases and align it with delivery objectives.
- Lead and mentor data scientists and ML engineers while providing technical direction.
- Establish feature engineering standards and direction across the data science workstream.
- Design and oversee experiment tracking frameworks and model validation strategies.
- Own the ML model lifecycle from evaluation and selection through production deployment.
- Evaluate ML models, including gradient boosting and ensemble approaches.
- Collaborate with data engineering and architecture teams to develop model-ready data pipelines.
- Provide hands-on guidance on Databricks, Databricks-native models, and MLflow.
Requirements
- At least 15 years of experience in data science or ML engineering roles.
- Strong expertise in ML strategy, scalable feature engineering pipelines, model evaluation, and validation methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with LightGBM and gradient boosting frameworks for structured data.
- Proficiency with MLflow for experiment tracking, model registry, and lifecycle management.
- Working knowledge of Databricks, including model serving and Databricks-native models.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop enterprise data science teams.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex ML concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional, agile delivery environments.
