Responsibilities
- Drive technical direction for agentic AI initiatives, including architecture patterns, autonomy boundaries, and system design.
- Design, build, and operate production-grade agentic AI systems used across multiple products.
- Own agent frameworks, orchestration layers, planning, tool use, memory, retrieval and grounding pipelines, LLM infrastructure, inference, model gateways, evaluation, observability, and safety tooling.
- Lead technical design reviews and guide tradeoffs involving autonomy, safety, reliability, scalability, and cost.
- Coordinate cross-platform initiatives and ensure scalability, resilience, compliance, and secure product rollouts.
- Build proofs of concept, evaluate emerging models and technologies, and translate them into enterprise-ready solutions.
- Mentor senior engineers and raise the technical standard for agentic AI development through technical leadership and influence.
- Partner with product, UX, risk, compliance, cybersecurity, technology, and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience operating in a modern enterprise-scale engineering environment with a strong emphasis on agentic AI.
- Proficiency with Python, Go, and TypeScript; REST, gRPC, or tRPC; AWS or GCP; Kubernetes; Kafka; and orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, or Airflow.
- Experience integrating commercial and open-source LLMs into agentic workflows and using frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or CrewAI.
- Experience with PyTorch and the Hugging Face ecosystem for embeddings, fine-tuning, or inference tooling, with some exposure to TensorFlow.
- Experience with schema, validation, and state-management tools such as Pydantic and Zod.
- Computer Science or Information Systems degree, or equivalent experience with at least 8 years of work experience.
- Experience building intelligent GenAI solutions and delivering large-scale enterprise systems or products.
- Ability to communicate effectively, present to senior leadership, and influence across business and technology organizations.
- Leadership ability to mentor and support diverse internal and external talent.
