Base Salary
$149k - $253k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve accessible, usable, high-performance member-facing web experiences.
- Own projects end to end from problem definition and technical approach through production delivery and outcome measurement.
- Contribute to frontend applications, APIs, backend services, data flows, and partner-system integrations.
- Help define frontend architecture, state management, component reuse, testing, observability, and performance practices.
- Partner with Product, Design, Data, Clinical, and engineering teams to simplify complex healthcare workflows.
- Improve developer experience through tooling, documentation, testing, development workflows, and engineering standards.
- Participate in design reviews, technical planning, code reviews, incident follow-up, and reliability improvements.
- Mentor other engineers and contribute to team learning, feedback, collaboration, and ownership.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production web applications.
- Deep hands-on frontend expertise with JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern web framework such as React.
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture, state management, component design, browser behavior, performance, accessibility, and testing.
- Experience building responsive, accessible, and reliable experiences for real customers or members.
- Full-stack experience contributing to APIs, backend services, data flows, and service integrations.
- Experience making technical decisions in ambiguous problem spaces and driving projects from concept through production.
- Strong product instincts and effective collaboration with Product and Design.
- Clear communication skills for explaining technical tradeoffs to technical and non-technical partners.
- Pragmatic, collaborative approach with strong ownership, judgment, and ability to incorporate feedback.
