Responsibilities
- Build and evolve mission-critical horizontal infrastructure and tooling for commercialization systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop systems and processes as business needs evolve.
- Scale systems to support commercial expansion and increasing complexity.
- Develop solutions involving world simulation, regression testing, and software services managing autonomous-vehicle fleets.
- Work cross-functionally with mobile app, cloud backend, Waymo Driver, operations, product, legal, partnerships, policy, and privacy teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of backend or infrastructure experience.
- Preferred: experience with C++ or willingness to participate in professional development to stay current with industry knowledge.
- Preferred: experience working with nontechnical team members.
- Preferred: experience with operations tooling, developer productivity, or developer tools.
