Base Salary
$149k - $350k/yr
Responsibilities
- Identify and drive impactful projects that improve the security of Figma’s product, platform, and IT systems.
- Conduct technical security assessments, code audits, and design reviews.
- Design and develop solutions to prevent or mitigate product, cloud, corporate, AI, and abuse-related security risks.
- Build security platforms, detection systems, access insights, and other internal security tooling.
- Support penetration testing, offensive security exercises, bug bounty activities, vulnerability triage, security reviews, and security consulting.
- Develop signals and systems to detect spam, fraud, abuse, and other security threats.
- Participate in security incident response and promote secure practices across company teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of engineering experience in Security Engineering or Software Engineering is required; security experience is preferred for software engineers.
- Strong security judgment in threat modeling and risk prioritization and/or strong technical judgment in designing and building maintainable, scalable systems.
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose coding language.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including experience collaborating across functions.
- Preferred qualifications include expertise in Application Security, Cloud Security, Corporate Security, Data Access Governance, or IAM, and the ability to make difficult prioritization decisions regarding security controls.
