Responsibilities
- Improve search quality through models, data, tools, and other available leverage.
- Architect and build core components of the search platform and model stack.
- Train and evaluate retrieval, ranking, and classification models, including large language models.
- Deploy models ranging from boosting systems to large language models in a scalable and performant manner.
- Build and optimize retrieval-augmented generation pipelines for grounding and answer generation.
- Collaborate with Data, AI, Infrastructure, and Product teams to deliver quickly and with high quality.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of search and retrieval systems, including quality evaluation principles and metrics.
- Proven track record working with large-scale search or recommender systems.
- Minimum of 5 years working on search- or recommender-system-related projects.
- Strong ownership, self-direction, and execution skills.
