Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support stateful microservices and Lambda-based services in a multi-region cloud environment.
- Write and review code and contribute to architectural and technical roadmap decisions.
- Mentor engineers within and beyond the squad and help develop their technical capabilities.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, QA, Operations, and other partners to define requirements and communicate technical decisions and outcomes.
- Participate in planning and continuous improvement activities using the team’s stated delivery practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of related work experience.
- Familiarity with Java and at least one JVM language: Scala or Kotlin.
- Familiarity with at least one of AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with object-oriented and functional programming best practices is desirable.
- Familiarity with AWS, Terraform, and infrastructure-as-code best practices is desirable.
- Willingness to learn and experiment with new technologies.
