Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, scalable software solutions and production code.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, while validating their outputs.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets to identify patterns and drive improvements to software applications, coding practices, and system architecture.
- Apply software development lifecycle practices and contribute to team leadership and broader engineering effectiveness.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
- At least 3 years of applied experience as an individual contributor and at least 1 year of experience leading a team.
- Hands-on experience with Java, including Core Java, and at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database-querying languages.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate, validate, and refine generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Strong communication and leadership experience.
