Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software solutions.
- Build and maintain Java-based applications and algorithms within complex enterprise systems.
- Create architecture and design artifacts and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools and automation capabilities to improve engineering productivity.
- Analyze and visualize large, diverse datasets to identify patterns and drive improvements to software applications, coding hygiene, and system architecture.
- Guide peers on safe and effective use of AI in engineering workflows.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
- At least 5 years of applied software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Kafka, and cloud technologies.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating, validating, and refining their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Overall knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
- Understanding of agile methodologies, application resiliency, and security.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and exposure to cloud technologies are preferred.
