Responsibilities
- Collaborate with development, testing and automation, product management, and UX teams to define and implement new product offerings while maintaining existing functionality.
- Investigate options, present solutions, implement new functionality, and re-architect existing solutions to meet evolving needs.
- Implement database schemas, business logic, and presentation-layer functionality.
- Develop secure, reliable, efficient, and scalable features and platforms.
- Analyze customer workflows, reproduce reported issues, and resolve them according to service level agreements.
- Validate and certify peer engineers’ work to maintain product quality.
- Prepare test plans and develop unit, functional, performance, scalability, and web-application automation tests.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience developing software products, with exposure to software quality assurance processes.
- Expertise in Java development technologies and experience writing SQL queries.
- Experience testing web applications and developing automated scripts with Selenium or similar tools.
- Exposure to automation frameworks such as TestNG and JUnit, and strong experience with Git or other version-control systems.
- Ability to work across technologies as project needs change and understanding of modern web applications from database through browser.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, debugging, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Advanced HTML experience, including HTML5, CSS3, XHTML, and JSP, is advantageous.
- Experience as a member of a Scrum team is a plus.
