Responsibilities
- Own and evolve scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure.
- Design, build, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
- Lead and improve Docker- and Kubernetes-based containerized environments.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code and automation frameworks using tools such as Terraform.
- Own production readiness, including availability, monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response.
- Support engineering and research teams across development, testing, and production needs.
- Drive improvements in system performance, reliability, and security posture.
- Lead or contribute to architectural decisions and long-term infrastructure planning.
- Set operational best practices and standards as a key infrastructure owner in a growing startup.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps or Infrastructure Engineer in production environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including architecture, networking, security, and cost awareness.
- Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes containerization and orchestration.
- Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions or similar tools.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation, such as Terraform.
- Ability to take end-to-end ownership and work independently in an early-stage, high-ambiguity environment.
- Experience working with research or security teams in production environments is preferred.
- Experience supporting data-heavy, distributed, or high-scale systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog is preferred.
