Base Salary

$186k - $190k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement significant software features and complex software products supporting home electrification.
  • Develop, debug, test, troubleshoot, and deploy software applications throughout the application development and continuous deployment process.
  • Architect and deploy highly scalable applications using AWS services.
  • Build backend and frontend automated tests, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Design and optimize relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Make architectural decisions balancing business needs, technical constraints, and user experience.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor junior software engineers, and guide the team’s technical direction.
  • Contribute to technical strategy, roadmap planning, engineering standards, code quality, and system architecture improvements.
  • Collaborate with product and business teams to define requirements and solutions.
  • Create dashboards for performance monitoring and alerting and use JIRA or Confluence for project tracking and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and five years of progressive software application development experience, or a master’s degree or foreign equivalent and three years of such experience.
  • Experience developing software applications using Python 3.10 or later.
  • Experience creating frontend applications with TypeScript and a reactive JavaScript framework.
  • Experience building automated tests for backend and frontend applications.
  • Experience architecting and deploying scalable applications on AWS services.
  • Experience designing and optimizing relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience using JIRA or Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
  • Experience creating performance-monitoring and alerting dashboards.
