Base Salary
$87k - $157k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with SMEs, client stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver technical and application support for multiple utility company applications.
- Develop, enhance, debug, troubleshoot, and maintain existing and new software applications throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Diagnose and resolve software issues, application errors, system performance problems, and user support requests.
- Research technical issues, identify root causes, implement solutions, and perform minor bug fixes.
- Manage and prioritize support requests and open issues according to urgency, business impact, and service-level expectations.
- Follow change management processes when implementing application updates, fixes, and proposed solutions.
- Monitor application and internal system performance and provide on-call support as needed.
Requirements
- Requires a bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or a master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience; additional experience may substitute for a degree.
- Demonstrated experience with an object-oriented language such as Java or C#/.NET and with Python.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React.js, Node.js, or Next.js.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases such as MySQL and MongoDB.
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems and code repositories such as Subversion and Git.
- Experience with UI/UX design, translating requirements into clean and functional interfaces, and developing software for large geospatial datasets.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical and non-technical issues and adapt to unfamiliar technologies.
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI; the posting also states that candidates without an active TS/SCI will not be considered.
- Preferred qualifications include cloud infrastructure and IaaS, CSV/JSON/XML data formats, ETL processes, big data, Docker, Kubernetes, and ActiveMQ experience.
