Senior Software Engineer, Sentry Software (Ground Based Air Defense)

Responsibilities
- Own software configuration for Air Defense tower variants, including product definitions, payload and sensor configuration, networking, and image builds.
- Integrate and support radar and infrared camera services and their variant-specific configurations and behaviors.
- Develop, implement, and deliver features driven by Air Defense program requirements.
- Migrate legacy variant configurations to common, composable platform modules.
- Own software update, deployment, and manufacturing test configuration paths.
- Support products in the field and on the manufacturing line by triaging, reproducing, root-causing, and resolving issues.
- Coordinate requirements, schedules, and technical implementation with Air Defense program engineers and stakeholders.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping real systems.
- Proficiency in Rust or C++ and ability to work across an existing codebase.
- Solid Linux systems fundamentals, including the command line, systemd, networking basics, and log-driven debugging.
- Practical experience integrating software with sensors, embedded devices, instrumentation, or other hardware.
- Experience owning a larger system component end to end, including configuration, deployment, testing, and support.
- Clear written communication skills.
- US person status and eligibility to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
- Preferred: experience with radar, RF systems, air surveillance and tracking, camera or infrared imaging pipelines, declarative configuration management, infrastructure-as-code, Nix or NixOS, Python, robotics, motion control, or pointing systems.
