Responsibilities
- Define budgetary requirements, functional specifications, project plans, and software release schedules for assigned product areas.
- Partner with business and development teams to identify engineering, application, and system requirements and processes.
- Communicate technology and end-user requirements and tasks to stakeholders.
- Develop solutions and processes aligned with audit initiatives, applicable policies, laws, rules, and regulations.
- Consult with Business Information Security Officers and Technology Information Security Officers.
- Provide SQL Server L3 production support for EMEA applications and time zones, including EMEA/Poland shift coverage.
- Create SQL scripts and automation.
- Assist with training and mentor junior team members.
- Assess, manage, report, and escalate operational and technology risks and control issues.
- Drive operational process change and improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- 5–8 years of relevant engineering experience.
- 8+ years of experience supporting SQL Server as an L3 production support DBA.
- Experience working in financial services or a large, complex, and/or global environment.
- Project management experience.
- SQL scripting and automation experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities, and related reporting.
- Demonstrated analytical and diagnostic skills.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work, and take ownership of project or initiative areas.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines or unexpected changes.
