Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, implement, test, and support applications and databases.
- Translate technical specifications into code for complex projects and integrate third-party products.
- Lead backend optimization for performance, scalability, responsiveness, and resilience.
- Integrate data sources, APIs, and services to improve system efficiency and data flow.
- Create and maintain backend architecture and technical documentation.
- Implement security, data protection, automated testing, and enterprise development best practices.
- Collaborate with frontend teams on backend interfaces and support client-facing user experiences.
- Promote code through development, test, and production environments and provide follow-up production support.
- Participate in design, code, and test inspections, systems analysis, issue resolution, and stakeholder meetings.
- Train and mentor less-experienced staff and communicate technical issues to cross-functional audiences.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software development, system integration, database design, and backend architecture.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or a master’s degree/diploma in Computer Science.
- Strong expertise in React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Experience with responsive web development, API integration, component-based architecture, accessibility standards, performance optimization, and automated testing.
- Strong understanding of backend integrations, database concepts, and application architecture.
- Experience building digital banking platforms or client-facing financial services applications.
- Exposure to design systems and reusable component libraries.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
