Responsibilities
- Own Android product functionality from understanding user problems with PM and UX through delivery.
- Develop and maintain modern Android applications using Kotlin, including work with legacy code.
- Use AI tools to accelerate development, review code, explore alternatives, and improve documentation and quality.
- Collaborate with product managers, QA, UX, and technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Manage multiple workstreams, prioritize effectively, communicate progress, and make and defend technical proposals.
- Address bugs, difficult technical decisions, and ongoing product and platform evolution.
Requirements
- Experience working in a product-oriented environment and participating in product and technical decisions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering, PM, QA, and UX.
- Kotlin as a primary language and Android as the usual development environment.
- Knowledge and practical application of modern Android development practices.
- Ability to work effectively with legacy code and manage multiple concurrent priorities.
- Natural, regular use of AI tools in the development workflow.
- Preferred: UI sensitivity, design-systems experience, large-scale multimodule app experience, and CI/CD pipeline experience.
- Preferred: experience with event tagging tools such as Piano or Tealium.
- Preferred: interest or experience in iOS, backend, data analytics, KMP, React Native, and software testing.
