Responsibilities
- Plan, design, build, and operate core infrastructure systems used by development and engineering teams.
- Debug critical production infrastructure issues across multiple services or sites and perform root-cause analysis.
- Design and operate reliable systems that support automated workload movement and failure avoidance.
- Use Go or Python to build platform solutions that improve developer velocity and feature delivery.
- Promote engineering best practices and guide peers on design and coding standards.
- Partner with engineering teams to align platform solutions with product priorities and evolving needs.
- Own complex technical challenges through successful completion.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in software development, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure in Kubernetes clusters.
- Practical experience with declarative infrastructure environments using Terraform.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Azure, or AWS.
- Production programming experience and proficiency in Go or Python.
- Experience with pipeline tools such as GitHub Actions or CircleCI.
- Deep familiarity with Unix/Linux and Windows environments.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
- Preferred: experience building and scaling enterprise pipelines and managing production environments in Google Cloud Platform.
- Preferred: experience with Akuity, Kargo, or Dagger.io.
- Preferred: familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes and varied implementation methods.
