Responsibilities
- Build and enhance core banking and client onboarding platforms.
- Design APIs, backend services, microservices, frontend applications, integrations, and orchestration layers for complex workflows.
- Deliver end-to-end features from design through production support and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Develop LLM-powered capabilities using prompt design, structured outputs, tool calling, error handling, and production safeguards.
- Implement and optimize RAG pipelines involving chunking, embeddings, vector search, and grounding responses in source documents.
- Establish validation and evaluation practices for AI output quality and regression detection.
- Apply input validation, PII handling, prompt-injection mitigation, security controls, and human-in-the-loop review.
- Contribute to API-first design, cloud adoption, event-driven architecture, quality practices, CI/CD, and observability.
- Manage model-related cost and latency and identify opportunities to use AI development tools to improve engineering efficiency.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, business, and non-technical stakeholders on complex domain problems.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in backend or full stack development.
- Proficiency in at least one of Java, Node.js, or Python and one of React or Angular.
- Strong understanding of system design, API development, scalable systems, and production-grade end-to-end delivery.
- Hands-on experience building applications with large language models and supporting an LLM-based feature serving end users.
- Practical understanding of prompt engineering, output-quality evaluation, RAG, embeddings, and vector search.
- Exposure to agentic AI, planning and tool use, multi-agent workflows, and human-in-the-loop approval patterns.
- Experience with LangChain or LangGraph, AWS Bedrock, or Copilot Studio.
- Experience using AI development tools such as Copilot and code assistants in a team setting.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, ownership, and adaptability skills.
- Preferred experience in banking, financial services, or another regulated or complex domain.
- Preferred awareness of AI security issues including prompt injection, data leakage, output validation, and the OWASP LLM Top 10.
- Preferred experience with model evaluation frameworks, LLM observability tooling, search, data retrieval, analytics, cloud-native modernization, event-driven systems, or streaming architectures.
