Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex enterprise accounts with custom requirements from the first technical conversation through production.
- Deliver demos and pitches to budget holders and C-level stakeholders.
- Build working customer prototypes rapidly using AI-assisted development.
- Mentor and develop Solutions Architects and Senior Solutions Architects with Field Engineering leadership.
- Build Databricks’ technical presence in the DACH market through collateral, workshops, meetups, and conference talks.
- Develop and roll out repeatable best practices and processes across the region.
- Collaborate closely with internal subject-matter experts, product teams, and leadership.
- Run complex proofs of concept on at least one major public cloud.
Requirements
- Fluent German and business-level English are required for daily customer and internal communication.
- Substantial experience in technical pre-sales across complex customer interactions and the full sales lifecycle.
- Ability to lead technical and business discussions with C-level executives, orchestrate cross-functional teams, and influence long-term customer outcomes.
- Deep expertise in at least one of data engineering or data science.
- Hands-on coding ability in Python and SQL.
- Daily, fluent use of AI tools, including coding assistants and agents.
- Ability to use AI assistance to build credible working prototypes while applying independent technical judgment.
- Experience running complex proofs of concept on at least one major public cloud.
- Strong judgment in prioritizing use cases and investments and navigating competitive markets.
