Responsibilities
- Lead Salesforce platform architecture, strategy, and technical initiatives for the Mosaic patient services platform across disease areas.
- Define, manage, and optimize the DevOps framework and delivery operating model.
- Lead call center implementations and address cross-disease-area architecture considerations.
- Create and validate architectural, functional, and technical specifications and facilitate architecture and design sessions.
- Develop roadmaps, drive process and operational improvements, and provide input on strategic direction.
- Coordinate platform releases, upgrades, testing, production release schedules, and stakeholder communications.
- Partner with QA, IT, offshore teams, vendors, and managed service providers on platform support, enhancements, integrations, and projects.
- Serve as the operations subject matter expert for implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and integration projects.
- Manage risk and mitigation activities to support high-quality, on-time delivery.
- Manage the CI/CD pipeline and software development capacity across teams.
- Provide budget, forecasting, and resource allocation input.
- Coach and lead Vertex colleagues and onshore/offshore managed service providers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience is required, with 8 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience stated in the education and experience section.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or another related technology field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with Salesforce platforms, Salesforce Agentforce, and other AI automation tools.
- Functional and technical knowledge of cell and gene therapy, patient portals, chain of identity, capacity planning, and related supply chain systems.
- Experience with patient and/or product scheduling.
- Biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Experience with SaaS solutions and software vendors, including vendor and managed service provider management.
- Experience handling GxP systems and security requirements, including disaster recovery, backup and restore, data retention, and archival.
- Experience with stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and directing platform teams.
- Experience across business, information, infrastructure, and software architecture specialization areas.
- Experience working within and leading Agile teams across multiple business units and functions.
- Expert knowledge of Agile SDLC, DevOps, and GxP, plus experience with configurations, customizations, and SDLC documentation.
- Strong executive-level communication, analytical, problem-solving, operational improvement, and technical solution-design skills.
- Ability to explain complex topics clearly, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and stay current with technology and industry trends.
