Responsibilities
- Build and customize ServiceNow applications, including data tables, user interfaces, business logic, workflows, and new modules.
- Integrate ServiceNow with third-party applications using web services, scripted REST APIs, and other web technologies.
- Perform ServiceNow version upgrades and implement releases with minimal disruption to IT operations.
- Troubleshoot production issues involving custom applications, systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
- Maintain reliable and reproducible development, staging, testing, sandbox, and production environments.
- Provide ongoing production and end-user support and collaborate with ServiceNow administrators on updates and configuration requests.
- Lead or manage integration of new products based on client requirements.
- Evaluate application software packages, integration solutions, and testing tools.
- Estimate work effort and contribute to software user manuals and technical reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field, or 6–7 years of computer programming knowledge and experience.
- At least three years of work experience with ServiceNow.
- Strong knowledge of the ServiceNow Development Platform, including custom development, ITSM, ITOM, dashboards and reports, Performance Analytics, Knowledge Base, SOAR, and SecOps.
- Programming proficiency in JavaScript and C#, with knowledge of .NET, ASP.NET, HTML, AJAX, XML, CSS, HTTP, REST, and SOAP.
- Experience with systems integration using web services and web-based technologies.
- Fundamental knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP ports, firewalls, network protocols, and IP networks.
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow and at least two of Java/J2EE, C#/C++, VB/.NET, Perl, Python, SQL, or JavaScript/AJAX.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
