Responsibilities
- Develop low-level drivers, bootloaders, BSPs, middleware, and application firmware.
- Develop and debug RTOS-based drivers and hardware-software integration issues.
- Collaborate with hardware, RTL, DV, software, and other teams to validate SoCs.
- Improve efficiency through automation, scripting, tools, and firmware optimization.
- Use source control tools and maintain software development and release processes.
- Debug integration issues with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, JTAG/SWD debuggers, and laboratory equipment.
- Deliver production-quality software including testing, documentation, static analysis, and CI/CD/CT.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in C and C++ for resource-constrained systems.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Experience writing low-level firmware, bare-metal hardware/IP drivers, and RTOS-based drivers.
- Strong understanding of hardware, system software stacks, power management, memory subsystems, and high-speed peripherals.
- Experience with ARM Cortex, MIPS, or RISC-V processors and heterogeneous or multiprocessor SoC platforms.
- Familiarity with JTAG and embedded development and debugging tools.
- Experience with Linux, Git, Jira, and Confluence development environments.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field plus 2+ years of related experience; or a master's degree plus 1+ year; or a PhD in a relevant field.
- The posting states 4–6 years of experience.
- Experience with silicon bring-up, silicon validation, FPGA platforms, and pre-silicon RTL co-simulation is a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
